Reflecting on 2024: Celebrating transform.forward’s Impact and Growth

As 2024 comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the incredible work we’ve done alongside our clients and acknowledge the hard work of the transform.forward team. This year has been marked by connection, growth, and meaningful transformation, and the numbers behind our work illustrate the impact we’ve made together. From Presidential and CEO board rooms to elementary school hallways, we’ve had a blast seeing the spaces and places our clients work in on a daily basis.

Our top project types— strategic plan creations, organizational effectiveness studies, team retreats, and curated coaching engagements—highlight the tailored, high-impact solutions we deliver to help organizations thrive. Whether working with universities, non-profits, government agencies, or corporate teams, our approach is always customized to meet each client's unique needs.

Expanding Reach, One Mile at a Time

In 2024, we prioritized meeting our clients where they are, traveling to 26 cities, and logging over 65,000 miles to facilitate retreats, workshops, and coaching engagements. This travel allowed us to connect deeply with organizations in person, ensuring our work remained grounded in trust and understanding.

This year, the transform.forward team racked up some serious miles, with 82 nights spent in hotel beds and 64 ride shares logged. Along the way, we became unintentional experts in carry-on packing and playlists curated by strangers in Ubers. Travel took us to new destinations that left lasting impressions, including Corvallis, Oregon (a first for everyone), as well as Cincinnati, Amherst, and Tucson. While the road may have been long, every mile was worth connecting with our incredible clients and making an impact face-to-face.

Our busiest months were packed with visits to institutions like the University of Delaware, Oregon State University, and the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, as well as private sector and non-profit partners across the country. Whether leading an executive team retreat in the mountains of Colorado, conducting leadership strategy sessions in a startup shared space in Maryland, or facilitating workshops in an elementary school in Arizona, we were always on the move—and focused on making a difference.

Highlights From a Year of Transformation

Organizational Effectiveness Studies:

This year, we conducted comprehensive effectiveness studies across multiple organizations, working with 1,100+ survey respondents and producing almost 1,000 pages of detailed, actionable reports. Benchmarking against 334 organizations, we delivered data-driven insights to help our clients align their structures, operations, and missions for long-term success. We conducted studies for a wide variety of partners, from entire divisions or departments to small offices and independent programs.

Team Retreats:

We facilitated impactful retreats in 2024, bringing teams together for reflection, alignment, and planning. Highlights include the executive leadership retreats for UMBC, the University of Delaware, and MSU Denver, where we helped teams gain clarity and purpose for the years ahead. From team bonding to operational strategy sessions, retreats go a long way toward building high-functioning teams.

Curated Coaching:

Coaching was a cornerstone of our work this year. We matched coaches with senior leadership teams, tailoring engagements to align with organizational goals. With nearly 900 hours of coaching delivered, our work empowered leaders to navigate challenges, refine their strategies, and foster alignment within their teams. We meticulously match coaches with participants to ensure the most productive coaching engagements.

Strategic Plan Development:

This year, we partnered with organizations to design strategic plans that drive alignment, clarity, and measurable impact. We facilitated processes that transformed abstract goals into actionable strategies by engaging stakeholders across campuses, non-profits, and government agencies. From visioning workshops at Oregon State University to launching comprehensive planning initiatives at the University of Delaware, we ensured every plan was tailored to meet the organization's unique needs. The result? Strategic plans that not only inspire but also deliver lasting change. Check out a few linked below:

This year, we facilitated over 740 client meetings, conducted 287 coaching sessions, and administered 45 assessments, including tools like CliftonStrengths and the Leadership Versatility Index (LVI). Our team’s commitment to excellence has made 2024 one of our most impactful years yet.

This was a year of growth for our company; we’ve welcomed two additional full-time staff members and 15 part-time coaches, consultants, trainers, and subject matter experts.
